.:All the rage:.

I can't seem to organize my thoughts lately let alone make any decisions. I'm a good procrastinator that way. I think I am still intimidated by NYC and all it's possibilities. I came to run away from my life just to have to face it here too. I guess it is true what they say that you can't run away from your problems. I wish I could just put them on hold at least t'ill my birthday, which truthfully I'm not very excited about this year. One more year. Ladeefuckingdah!

.:Watching out for Número Uno:.

So, on to bigger and better things...

I have been invited to join an organization called Young Photographers United. There is a trial period of 3 months after I filled out the application and they accepted me, which is just as good, because I can see if it's for me. Either way, it sounds really exciting and I've always loved to collaborate and it's a perfect opportunity to meet other talented photographers from around the globe. So time will tell what this new endeavor will bring my career.

Meanwhile check out the website!

And here's a photo of what you see when you click on my name in the list of photographers...

.:Landan:.

I love London, but at the same time, some things about it really irk me. Exhibit A: Taxi from Gatwick Airport to the hotel: 95 british pounds which is equivalent to almost 200 dollars. IE: fucking ouch! It's partly my fault though. I'm a sucker for convenience and not having to lug your bags around any metro system is to me a big plus, but the times are hard and I should have sacrificed comfort for being more thrifty. Oh well. One learns I guess. My weekend ( a very very short weekend at that ) was what I would classify as a life direction changing event. I'm not really going to go into details and I'm a better photographer than I am at expressing myself verbally, so I will say it with some photos from said weekend... Forgive me for being so cryptic. I know hardly anyone reads this blog but I'm a paranoid android all the same and private to boot...

I also had the opportunity (thanks to my friend Miguel who made the introduction) to hang out with Chelsea. Chelsea is fun, into fashion and shopping and is smart as a whip. I get along with her and of course we hit it off right away. Truth is she had me at Fred Segal! Instant friends... Here she is in all her porcelain skin (much envied by me) goodness...

I took this photo of her on the tube. We took advantage of the wind machine effect! :P

Coming soon: Barcelona: Sónar Festival & how I managed not to get into Bread & Butter and miss all the parties.

.:Lookin' up:.

Monday, June 9
Dog Horoscope

Ivonne,
Unexpected pleasures, new friends, or a more playful, adventurous attitude in your relationships make this time period stimulating and delightful. You want a break from your usual routine and, because you are willing to experiment and to be spontaneous, you are likely to experience a refreshing change of pace.

*Finally things are looking up... and tomorrow, NYC! (yay!)

.:I'm thinking destiny could be watching out for me:.

So things went down instead of going up. That as some say, is the way the cookie crumbles. Now what waits for me is a sudden trip to NYC and then Europe. I'm refusing to plan and arrange and pre-set for this trip. Let the chips fall where they may. I just have a feeling it's going to be magical. And I can't wait to experience it all...
