Wow... It's been two whole months since I've written something here. And of course, a lot has happened since february. My father passed away, I've been battling with my diet and my thyroid (which is not something new) and I surprised my niece for her birthday by showing up in North Carolina unannounced (that's been the fun part).

Problems come and go. Bad things come in three's. Etc, etc etc. I just can't wait for this year to be over! It's been a hard three years so I figure next year will be a good one... Here's hoping!

Anyway I might as well publish this post. It's been sitting here as a draft for almost a month now. I think it's time to give this blog some much needed movement and traffic. I think I'll be writing more now. For what it's worth, there will be more of my ramblings on display soon.
